AVY AZEROUAL
Avy Azeroual founded Sun Realty Capital in 2002 which boasts assets in the commercial, retail and residential sectors of the real estate market. Avy also co-founded Gotham Realty Holdings and served as managing partner, continuing to participate in the company’s management and activities through present time. Avy has executed deals for over 9 million square feet of office and retail space throughout the United States with valuations of over $2 billion. Four years ago, Avy joined Zev Schick and Mark Tress who had directed their attention on under-performed properties and development opportunities; together they formed Sun Equity Partners, with striking outcomes.
MARK TRESS
Mark Tress is COO of Gibralter Equity Group LLC in New York, NY. For many years, Mark has structured fruitful business deals, targeting the real estate market in the tri-state area. Until recently, he has concentrated on the field of acquisition and investment of commercial real estate, exercising his foresight and creativity to expand his activities. With the overall decline in the real estate markets during the last decade, Mark pursued other innovative zones which promised consistently high returns while remaining within the scope of his expertise. Some years ago, Mark began investing in a new and flourishing territory; that of distressed real estate property. He teamed up with Zev Schick, and then with Avy Azeroual, to found Sun Equity Partners.
JACK MANDELBAUM
Jack Mandelbaum serves as construction manager and general contractor of MCH Developing, , in NJ. He has overseen operations within the commercial, institutional and residential divisions within the real estate market. Jack’s extensive experience includes directing building and parkng lot expansions, supervising the planning, design and construction of multiple sites and managing the technical arrangements from approvals to utility connections. Jack is the recipient of multiple awards and is recognized for his accomplishments. Jack stands out as dynamic and determined, utilizing his intelligence and expertise to direct projects from start to finish. He exhibits a natural aptitude in remodeling and restoring failing assets, and has consequently joined the Sun Equity Partners team with an emphasis in utilizing his capabilities within the market of distressed property.
ZEV SCHICK
Zev Schick serves as president of Gibraltar Equity Group, SBE Holdings and Esquire Properties in New York, NY. For almost a decade, Zev has been involved in the real estate arena, employing his ingenuity and acuity to negotiate many effective deals. For the bulk of the time, Zev was primarily focused on the acquisition and investment of commercial real estate. With the deterioration of the real estate market over the last 5 Years, Zev has turned his attention to innovative sources that would still yield consistently high rates of return while remaining within the scope of his expertise. Some years ago, Zev began investing in the burgeoning distressed real estate market, teaming up with Mendel Tress, and then Avy Azeroual, to co-found Sun Equity Partners. He has purchased numerous deals over the past five years. Additionally, he has acquired over 30 defaulted mortgages during the past few years.
ABE TRESS
Abe Tress functions as director of acquisitions for Sun Equity Partners. Within this capacity, he scouts out potential projects, investigating the many aspects involved to ensure that integral elements are in place before Sun Equity Partners invests itself in these ventures. With a large supply of funding to back the company’s transactions, Abe brings the many projects from the first phase of suggestion right through contract. His keen sense of perceptiveness leads Sun Equity Partners to many successful closings.
SYLVIA MIZRAHI
Sylvia Mizrahi holds the executive assistant position for Sun Equity Partners with many years of experience backing her. Sylvia handles the book-keeping and keeps tabs of the various facets of office management.
HINDY GORELICK
As Senior Vice President of Project Management and Development, Hindy Gorelick is responsible for all phases of development, from assembly, acquisition and design through sales and marketing. Hindy’s emphasis on collaboration and innovation defines her interactive and committed partnership with Sun Equity’s construction, finance, acquisition, sales and marketing teams. Hindy works collaboratively with city, state and federal governments, including agencies for zoning and land use, landmarks commission and city planning.
